Join artist and creator Sean Ryan at The Henge Shop, Avebury, for a day celebrating The Oracle of Animal Soul Medicine.
Created from Sean’s original paintings, the 73-card Oracle explores our relationship with the animal world through image, symbolism, intuition and imagination.
Sean will be in the shop to meet visitors, talk about the creation of the Oracle, sign and personally dedicate copies, and offer complimentary single-card mini readings.
The deck and accompanying guidebook will be available to purchase from The Henge Shop.

ANIMAL SOUL
An Afternoon of Oracle, Imagination & Drum
What happens when we spend time with an animal image?
Join artist, animist and creator of The Oracle of Animal Soul Medicine, Sean Ryan, for an experiential afternoon exploring our relationship with the animal world through image, intuition, imagination and drum.
Working with the Oracle as a doorway, we’ll begin with a group reading before exploring our own relationship with animal imagery and symbolism.
A guided meditation accompanied by the drum will invite you beyond the cards and into your own imaginal encounter. You may find yourself spending time with the animal revealed through the Oracle, or something unexpected may emerge.
There will be space for reflection, sharing and simple creative exploration as we consider what these encounters might mean in our lives.
No previous experience of oracle cards, meditation or drum work is necessary. Simply bring your curiosity.
Please bring a blanket or pillow for comfort, and a notebook and pen.

I offer workshops that bridge shamanic practice and creative expression, along with traditional ceremonial work.
DRAWING FROM THE WELL
Art and Shamanism: An introduction to using shamanic techniques to enhance, inform and create artistic expression.
This is my signature weekend course, exploring the creative flow between art, animism, and intuition.
During the workshop we use shamanic journeying, guided by the drum and movement, to access altered states and travel to parts of ‘non-ordinary reality’ – other parts of realities where we might go on adventures, meet spirits, teachers and guides, and bring back information that guides and facilitates artistic expression.

– Complete beginners with no artistic experience
– Anyone called to explore the intersection of spirit and creativity
– People seeking to reconnect with their own creative expression
No artistic experience required. No previous shamanic experience required.
This is a safe, nurturing, completely non-judgmental space. We don’t critique or appraise your work – instead, as an animist, I hold space for you to create a relationship with your own channeled creations.

SEASONAL CELTIC SHAMANIC WORKSHOPS
I occasionally offer seasonal workshops aligned with Celtic festivals and the wheel of the year:
– Beltane celebrations
– Samhain work
– Deep journeying workshops like “Seeing in the Dark”
These emerge when the timing and energy is right.
SWEAT LODGE CEREMONY
I run traditional Celtic sweat lodge ceremonies – an ancient purification and rebirth practice.
I trained for four years in Celtic sweat lodge tradition with Lynne Gosney in Kent, and offer lodges seasonally for small groups (6-8 people).
The sweat lodge is intense, transformative work involving heat, darkness, prayer, and surrender. This is serious ceremonial practice, not a wellness retreat activity.

– People called to deep purification and transformation
– Those going through major life transitions
– Practitioners seeking authentic ceremonial work
Who This Is NOT For:
– Anyone with heart conditions or heat sensitivity
– Those looking for a gentle experience
– Anyone unwilling to be physically uncomfortable
Lodges are run seasonally in North Wales and Kent.
